Canon Extender 2.0 II teleconverter increases the focal length of compatible lenses by 2×, with a corresponding loss of maximum aperture. The extender is dust- and moisture-resistant and is intended for situations where increased focal length is needed but using a second lens is not possible. Canon Extender 2.0 II features an optical system designed for improved compatibility with main lenses and special anti-reflective coatings.
Note: autofocus remains available when using teleconverters; however, the reduced aperture means autofocus will be significantly slower in most shooting conditions, and the increased number of elements in the system also affects performance. When using the Canon 2.0 II, it is recommended to rely on manual focusing.
