Nikkor AF-S TC-20E III is a high-performance teleconverter that doubles the focal length of some Nikkor lenses without increasing the minimum focusing distance. It is the world’s first teleconverter with an aspherical optical element, enabling very high resolution and contrast. Compact and lightweight, it can be taken on trips instead of a second telephoto lens.
Note: the converter is not compatible with all Nikkor lenses. Also note that when mounted, the effective aperture is reduced by 2 stops (e.g., a Nikkor AF-S 70–200mm f/2.8 becomes f/5.6 when extended to 140–400mm).
