Profoto D1 Air is an advanced series of professional flashes with a built-in reflector and radio receiver. It is a lightweight, compact 500 Ws flash unit. This model provides smooth power control from 7.8 to 500 Ws and precise control of modeling light, IR, radio, and wired synchronization.
The monolight includes built-in temperature monitoring and automatic cooling. An internal fan protects the unit from overheating during intensive use.
The built-in Profoto Air radio system allows syncing with other units without additional receivers. It replaces sync cables and enables remote triggering and settings control from up to 300 m using a Profoto Air Remote or Air Sync (not included). Air Sync provides wireless sync (8 channels) via hot shoe or mini jack, while Air Remote provides wireless triggering and full control of heads across 8 channels in 6 groups. D1 Air sync settings and other functions can also be controlled from a PC or Mac via an additional Profoto USB port and Studio software.
An integrated IR slave sensor allows IR triggering, useful with third-party triggers or when used as an optical slave. A 3.5 mm jack sync port also allows connecting third-party triggers via a sync cable.
The top of the housing includes an umbrella mount for fast setup. A tilting clamp allows angle adjustment and secure locking. A scale on the front enables beam adjustment by moving the reflector/modifier along the scale. The unit includes a protective matte glass cover that protects the flash tube and modeling lamp and softens the light output.
Profoto D1 Air 500 Ws is fully compatible with Profoto light shaping tools. A multi-voltage circuit allows worldwide use.
