Aputure Light Dome Mini II (55 cm) is a compact version of the Light Dome II. The 55 cm diameter makes it suitable for softening light in limited spaces such as small rooms or offices. Like the larger model, it can be used with powerful LED video lights. The octabox features a quick-release build system: 16 ribs are pre-attached to the hub, and assembly requires moving each rib into the working position, where it locks securely. Disassembly is equally fast by releasing the lock at the base of each rib.

Aputure Light Dome Mini II includes a magnetic gel filter holder (185 mm). The gel is placed at the base directly behind the light source; then the inner and outer diffusers (175 mm and 545 mm) are installed. Overall depth is 290 mm. These components produce soft, flattering light. The included grid reduces the beam spread by 40°, providing even softer shadows.

Note: Filters are not included.

Thanks to the Bowens mount, the softbox is compatible with many fixtures, including Aputure Light Storm COB series lights.

Although designed for powerful continuous lights, it is recommended to open the ventilation flaps on the rear of the softbox to reduce internal temperature during long shoots. When using filters, the manufacturer recommends replacing them every 2 hours during continuous operation.
