Zoom F1-SP kit consists of the Zoom SGH-6 supercardioid shotgun microphone and the Zoom F1 two-channel audio recorder. It is designed for capturing and recording high-quality audio for video production at up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. The kit is suitable for live performances, interviews, and reporting. While recording audio to the camera, the F1 recorder simultaneously saves a backup audio file to a microSD card. Connection to the camera is made via a 3.5 mm mini-jack cable.
The Zoom F1 recorder features a 1.25-inch monochrome display and a built-in limiter to protect recordings from distortion and overload. Audio is saved in WAV and MP3 formats, with time and date metadata embedded in WAV files. Via USB, the recorder can be connected to a PC for file transfer or used as an audio interface.
Mounting on a camera is done via the SMF-1 hot-shoe mount, specially designed for audio equipment and providing effective suppression of handling noise.
The system is powered by two AAA batteries (not included). Using alkaline batteries extends operating time up to 10 hours.
