Panasonic GH5S mirrorless camera is designed for high sensitivity and supports unlimited-duration recording in C4K/4K 60p/50p. A high-sensitivity sensor, Dual Native ISO, and the Venus Engine processor deliver strong low-light performance with minimal noise, which helps in challenging lighting conditions. Low-light autofocus allows shooting with underexposure down to -5 EV.
The Panasonic Lumix GH5S sensor supports multiple aspect ratios (4:3, 17:9, 16:9, 3:2). Thanks to the extended effective pixel area, focal length remains unchanged across these aspect ratios. DFD technology provides fast autofocus and burst shooting at 8 fps in AFC (continuous AF). Shooting at 12 fps is also available in AFS (single AF). A 60 fps photo mode at 8 MP allows capturing fast action. 14-bit RAW capture retains approximately 64× more color information than 12-bit RAW.
Panasonic Lumix GH5S supports 4K 60p/50p video and Cinema 4K (C4K: 4096×2160) 60p/50p, with no time limits for FHD or 4K recording. The camera provides near-professional cinema features, including C4K/4K 4:2:2 10-bit recording. Recording can be done simultaneously to an SD card while outputting via full-size HDMI to an external monitor or recorder for accurate monitoring or high-quality external recording (e.g., ProRes). 10-bit 4:2:2 recording delivers natural color and accurate tones, capturing over a billion colors and a tonal range four times greater than 8-bit recording.
