Sony Alpha 7C II compact camera with a 27.6 MP full-frame CMOS sensor provides fast readout, ISO 100–51,200 sensitivity, low noise, and accurate color reproduction. Using the BIONZ XR processor and an auto-exposure algorithm, the model recognizes skin areas on the face and adjusts exposure during photo and video capture. Video recording supports up to 4K UHD (3840×2160) in 10-bit 4:2:2 using Long GOP or All-Intra compression. An AI-based processing system enables accurate subject recognition for focusing. In addition to people, animals, and birds, the system also recognizes insects, cars, trains, and airplanes.
The camera supports S-Log3 gamma, enhancing tonal gradation from shadows to middle gray (18% gray) and achieving more than 14 stops of dynamic range. S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3.Cine are also available. With transform tables and Log gamma, you can preview how footage will look after post-production, or record footage with a LUT applied.
A 5-axis stabilization system is built in. Breathing compensation automatically maintains a consistent angle of view during focusing, enabling smoother and more expressive focus transitions in video. Mechanical and electronic shutters support burst shooting up to 10 fps (or up to 8 fps). The device can be connected to a PC as a 4K webcam.
