BIONZ XR processing power and updated algorithms also improve AF performance: up to 693 detection points. Accurate autofocus is supported in low light down to EV -4.0 in AF-S. Continuous shooting up to 10 fps with full AF/AE tracking is available with mechanical or electronic shutter. Flicker from artificial lighting can be reduced using Anti-flicker Shooting for stills or Var Shutter for precise shutter tuning to match flicker frequency in photo or video.
XAVC HS supports recording 8K (7680×4320) 24p. For 4K recording, both Full Frame and Super 35mm options are available. XAVC SI (All-Intra) or XAVC HS with 10-bit color depth and 4:2:2 sampling are supported. The touchscreen LCD offers a wide color gamut, and an Outdoor mode provides a clear image in bright conditions.
