Sony Alpha A6600 (body) mirrorless camera with a 24.2 MP APS-C CMOS sensor supports continuous still shooting up to 11 fps and 4K HDR (HLG) UHD (3840×2160) 30p video. The camera includes 5-axis optical image stabilization that compensates lateral/vertical shake and horizontal, vertical, and rotational shifts. AI-based recognition algorithms enable real-time Eye AF. The focus area covers about 84% of the image, and fast hybrid AF combines phase and contrast detection for 0.02 s acquisition. Left/right eye selection can be set in the menu or on the touchscreen. Depending on the tracked subject, the focus area smoothly shifts between face and eyes. Silent shutter mode supports up to 8 fps in AF-C with Eye AF and real-time tracking.
Full-frame Sony color algorithms are used for realistic color reproduction. Full pixel readout without binning enables 4K HLG video for HDR output. Interval shooting supports 1–60 s intervals; high-resolution images can be combined on a PC and previewed in-camera with variable-speed preview. The camera supports slow motion up to 5× and fast motion up to 60×. Full HD 120 fps video is also available. S-Log3 and S-Log2 provide wide dynamic range (1300% more than Rec. 709), minimizing unwanted brightening/darkening and improving grading flexibility.
A 180° tilting screen supports vlogging and varied angles. External microphone input and headphone monitoring are supported. Power is supplied by an NP-FZ100 battery.
