Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G is a high-quality fast prime lens with a Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for quiet operation. The 50 mm focal length (for full-frame) provides a standard, natural angle of view. Such a focal length is versatile, from portraits to stitched panoramas. The bright f/1.4 aperture enables shooting in low light. An improved optical construction helps minimize flare and chromatic aberration. The lens also features Internal Focusing (IF), and the non-rotating front element allows the use of circular polarizers and flash accessories with bayonet attachment. The focus ring does not rotate during AF.
