Aputure Light Storm COB 300d II LED 5500K is approximately 20% more powerful than the first-generation Aputure LS COB 300d. When used with the Hyper 7 reflector, light output can reach up to 45,000 lux at 1 m; without additional modifiers, brightness reaches 11,000 lux at 1 m. High color rendering performance with CRI 96+ and TLCI 96+ allows the fixture to be used in cinema and video production, including live broadcasts. Eight built-in lighting effects are available: – Paparazzi – Fireworks – TV – Lightning – Faulty Bulb – Strobe – Pulse – Explosion Flash.

Lighting adjustment is performed via the control unit, which also supplies power and functions as a ballast. Light intensity is smoothly adjustable from 1 to 100%. The kit includes a specially designed quick-release clamp for mounting the control unit on a light stand. The control unit housing includes slots for two V-Mount batteries and an AC power input.

The fixture can also be controlled using a mobile device via the Sidus Link application, with a manufacturer-stated operating range of up to 400 meters in open space. Multiple fixtures can be controlled simultaneously when positioned no more than 80 meters apart. The DMX512 protocol allows integration into professional lighting systems. Control via the included RC1 remote control (2.4 GHz, groups A/B/C/D) is also supported.

The universal Bowens mount expands compatibility with a wide range of light modifiers. When used with a compatible Fresnel lens, brightness can be increased up to 80,000 lux at 1 m.
