Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K compact digital cinema camera with MFT mount, 4/3 sensor, and 13 stops of dynamic range supports recording up to 4K DCI (4096×2160) at up to 60 fps, and up to 120 fps in HD (1920×1080). The camera has two base ISO values: ISO 400 and ISO 3200, with maximum ISO 25,600 for low-light shooting. Recording is available in 12-bit Blackmagic RAW or 10-bit ProRes.
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K body matches an MFT still-camera form factor. Controls are positioned for quick access to key functions. A 5-inch 1920×1080 touchscreen with a modern operating system helps the operator quickly set required parameters. 3D LUT support is available during recording and playback.

Media options include SD, UHS-II, and CFast 2.0 cards. SD cards are suitable for Full HD recording. UHS-II and CFast 2.0 support recording 4K DCI in supported formats at specified frame rates. Direct recording to an external SSD or flash drive is supported via USB-C.
Audio can be recorded using four built-in microphones or an external microphone via a Mini XLR 48V input with phantom power. 3.5 mm stereo jacks are available for accessories, and a built-in speaker allows monitoring audio on set.
Power options include LP-E6 batteries or 110–240V AC. USB-C power input supports external batteries, laptops, or mains.
HDMI outputs HDR material and a 10-bit signal with metadata (frame rate, aperture, shutter angle, white balance, ISO, timecode, and audio levels) to an external on-set monitor.
