B+W XS-Pro Digital Vari-ND 95 mm is a variable neutral density filter that reduces the amount of light entering the lens by multiple stops, using a design similar to CPL filters. It is color-neutral and free of aberrations, and includes a front thread for mounting accessories. All XS-Pro Digital filters feature MRC nano coating. The hydrophobic coating also helps prevent fogging when moving from cold to warm environments; condensation disappears from the filter surface in a very short time.

ND filters are useful in many situations: portrait photographers often use a wide aperture even in bright light to separate the subject from the background.
