Canon EOS C200 professional digital cinema camera with ARRI PL mount supports 4K/UHD up to 50p and expands the Canon Cinema EOS line. It is a powerful video tool designed for single-operator use. The camera supports Cinema RAW Light, providing grading flexibility similar to Cinema RAW with smaller file sizes, enabling internal 4K recording to CFast 2.0 media.
Canon EOS C200 uses dual DIGIC DV6 processors and can record 4K up to 50 fps or Full HD without crop up to 120 fps. The 8.85 MP Super 35 CMOS sensor supports 4K DCI recording up to 4096×2160. The camera supports up to 15 stops of dynamic range in Cinema RAW Light and up to 13 stops in MP4. Efficient light capture per pixel increases sensitivity up to ISO 102,400 and minimizes noise in extremely low light. Faster sensor readout reduces artifacts.
Two SD slots are built in for recording 4K UHD / HD MP4 to cards. Cinema RAW Light is recorded to a CFast slot. File sizes are several times smaller than standard RAW, improving recording and transfer speed. An SDI output supports external 4:2:2 MP4 recording. Dual Pixel CMOS AF and the touchscreen LCD allow selecting a focus subject on the screen for smooth focus operation and tracking. Face Detection is supported with Face Priority and Face-Only options.
A motorized ND filter system is located between the lens and sensor; combining ND settings enables shallow depth of field in bright conditions, providing up to 5 stops of neutral density. The built-in 0.46-inch EVF (1,770,000 dots) provides 100% coverage for accurate monitoring of exposure and color. The viewing angle is adjustable. The EVF includes menu access and supports HDR monitoring.
The camera has two XLR audio inputs with +48V phantom power and a 3.5 mm microphone input. Audio is recorded in uncompressed 16-bit PCM at 48 kHz. Gain for XLR and the mic input can be set automatically or manually. Built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet support browser-based remote control and FTP file transfer.
The Canon EOS C200 kit includes a side grip handle that attaches via a standard ARRI mount, simplifying repositioning and enabling compatible third-party accessories. A removable top handle is used for carrying. The camera is ergonomic for handheld long-form shooting thanks to its body design and low weight (1.4 kg). Compact size also suits drone and gimbal use.
