Canon C700 FF PL-mount camera with a 38.1×20.1 mm full-frame CMOS sensor is designed for a wide range of narrative and documentary production, advertising, and other film/video genres. The full-frame sensor provides 15 stops of dynamic range, a wide field of view, and 5.9K resolution, enabling extensive creative flexibility in color grading and HDR workflows.

The camera supports ProRes and XF-AVC 4:2:2 internal recording to CFast at up to 810 Mb/s, as well as uncompressed Cinema RAW. In ProRes and XF-AVC, internal recording up to 4K/UHD is supported for editing without transcoding. Cinema RAW supports 5.9K 12/10-bit recording with an external CODEX CDX-36150, enabling 4K RAW 10/12-bit up to 60 fps or 4K ProRes up to 60 fps. Oversampled 5.9K processing improves 4K and 2K image quality, including reduced moiré and noise. EOS C700 FF supports extensive 2K/UHD/HD options, including up to 168 fps in 2K ProRes in Super 16 mode.
An SD slot enables proxy recording in XF-AVC 4:2:0 8-bit for fast editing and can store photos, metadata, and menu information. Two CFast slots support simultaneous backup or relay recording.
The camera includes a PL mount compatible with a wide range of cinema lenses. Sensor height (20.1 mm) supports anamorphic lenses, and the anamorphic menu provides extensive options.
Canon Log 2 provides 15 stops of dynamic range; Canon Log 3 provides 14 stops. PQ (SMPTE ST.2084) and HLG monitoring enable HDR preview. BT.2020 and ACES 1.0 are supported; with Canon IDT, footage can be imported directly into ACES workflows. Full HD IP streaming is available via built-in Ethernet or Canon WFT-E6A Wi-Fi adapter, and these interfaces enable browser-based remote control and remote preview. Electronically controlled ND filters (10 stops) enable fast operation at the press of a button.
The camera body is designed for studio and location work, with a built-in balance plate and accessory mounting, a magnesium body, and Canon Cinema ergonomics. It can be used on a tripod, shoulder rig, gimbal, dolly, crane, drone, or car rig. A control panel with six buttons provides intuitive operation and quick access to key settings. The front panel includes 12V and 24V accessory power outputs.
The kit includes the Canon EVF-V70 Full HD OLED viewfinder with monitoring assist functions, false color, and HDR simulation.
