Canon EOS R5 C mirrorless camera with a 45 MP full-frame CMOS sensor includes active cooling for unlimited-duration 8K recording. It can record up to 8K DCI (8192×4320) 30p, or 8K DCI 60p with an additional power module; in 4K UHD, frame rates up to 120 fps are available. Still shooting supports up to 12 fps and up to 20 fps with the electronic shutter. Dual Pixel CMOS AF uses an advanced deep-learning algorithm for face recognition (even when only one eye is visible) and tracking even if the subject is not looking at the camera. The model supports professional formats and tools: internal 12-bit Cinema RAW Light up to 2.6 Gb/s (Cinema RAW Light LT, ST, HQ). Canon Log 3, PQ, and HLG are supported for extended dynamic range. Via HDMI, compatible Atomos external recorders can capture 10-bit 8K ProRes RAW up to 30 fps.
Two card slots (CFexpress Type B and UHS-II SD) allow simultaneous recording in different formats, resolutions, and bit depths to separate cards for various professional workflows. Canon EOS R5 C features an OLED EVF, a swivel LCD screen, and 13 assignable buttons. The active cooling fan supports long recording sessions.
