Digital Lens Optimizer (DLO) compensates for optical aberrations and resolution loss caused by the low-pass filter by applying an inversion function to each image, producing a natural look. This enables detailed images with smaller file sizes and high quality for post-production flexibility. 5-axis stabilization and Dual Sensing IS help minimize camera shake. The camera creates 14-bit RAW files for a wide tonal range and optimal image quality. Video recording supports up to 4K (16:9) 3840×2160 25p. Eye autofocus is available for portraits.
The camera features a 3.0-inch (7.5 cm) tilting touchscreen LCD (1,040,000 dots) and a 0.39-inch OLED EVF (2.36M dots) with a configurable info panel. The UHS-II card slot supports existing SD cards and enables faster recording and 4K video. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support easy connection to compatible mobile devices for transfer and syncing. Remote shooting via Canon Camera Connect over Wi-Fi is supported.
