The Canon Legria HF G25 is based on the Canon HD CMOS Pro sensor, also used in Canon professional camcorders. The sensor captures 20% more light and improves low-light sensitivity. As a result, the operator can capture more detail in shadows and reduce blown highlights in high-contrast scenes. The sensor is optimized for Full HD recording and provides sharp AVCHD video at a 24 Mb/s data rate. Intelligent image stabilization reduces blur from camera shake by automatically detecting the scene type and selecting one of four stabilization modes. Instant AF provides fast, accurate HD focusing. Face detection automatically selects optimal settings for excellent focus and exposure when filming people.
For audio recording, the camera includes a high-sensitivity built-in zoom microphone and selectable audio scene modes. The lens focus ring allows manual focus control during shooting. Full manual control of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and gain is available via the touchscreen LCD. A custom button and manual control dial provide full creative control. The camera includes 32GB of internal memory and supports simultaneous recording to two SDXC cards, as well as relay recording that automatically switches from internal 32GB memory to the first card and then to the next card.
