Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT is designed to control off-camera flashes via radio. Control range is up to 30 m. 2.4 GHz radio control works reliably outdoors and through obstacles — line of sight is not required. Up to 15 Speedlite flashes can be controlled from one ST-E3-RT transmitter mounted on the camera. E-TTL II metering simplifies exposure control.
The transmitter can also release the EOS camera shutter if another transmitter or a compatible Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT flash is installed on the camera. In synchronized shooting, simultaneous shutter release of up to 15 cameras is possible. ST-E3-RT has dust and moisture resistance comparable to professional EOS cameras and L-series lenses. It features a backlit LCD and is powered by two AA/LR6 batteries.
