Canon XA15 is a compact Full HD camcorder with strong optics, wide dynamic range, and a 20× optical zoom. Its small size makes it easy to carry, while flexible features allow shooting a wide range of events. With the HD CMOS Pro sensor and Canon 20× optical zoom lens (35mm equivalent: 26.8–576 mm), Canon XA15 is a versatile tool for videographers. An advanced circular aperture helps produce pleasing, natural-looking images. The Canon HD CMOS Pro sensor and DIGIC DV4 processor improve low-light performance and deliver Full HD 50P video at 35 Mb/s with a 600% wide dynamic range.
The camcorder can record simultaneously in AVCHD and MP4, including at different bitrates. XA15 supports multiple interfaces and includes two XLR inputs for professional audio, a microphone jack, optional GPS support, a mini HDMI connector, and an HD-SDI interface. Compact size makes it suitable for dynamic shooting where speed and mobility are critical. For operator convenience, the camera includes a 3.0-inch touchscreen, a rotating electronic viewfinder (1.56M dots), and a switchable zoom/focus ring on the lens.
