Carl Zeiss Compact Zoom CZ.2 15-30 T2.9 PL-mount lens is designed for lightweight HD cameras and weighs 2.6 kg, allowing use on light Steadicams. Like other Carl Zeiss lenses, it combines strong optical and mechanical performance. All CompactZoom lenses cover 4K and 6K sensors.
This compact PL-mount lens is compatible with full-frame cameras. It features an 18-blade circular diaphragm for very smooth background blur. The housing and focus ring design eliminate focus breathing. The front element is coated with Carl Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating for improved contrast and color. Minimum focusing distance is 0.55 m.
The manufacturer states that the Compact Zoom series is 4K-compatible. The lens is color-matched to the Compact Zoom family and Carl Zeiss prime lenses.
