Fujinon XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4.0 R LM OIS was introduced by FUJIFILM on September 6, 2012. It is the first variable focal length lens in the system and the first to feature optical image stabilization. 35mm-equivalent focal length: 27–84 mm. The LM designation indicates use of a stepper motor.
Optical construction: 14 elements in 10 groups, including 3 aspherical elements and 1 low-dispersion element. The linear drive system enables high-speed autofocus in 0.1 seconds, while quiet operation makes it suitable for video recording. The lens also includes an aperture ring for quick adjustments without taking your eye off the viewfinder.
