Genus matte box is compatible with modern Canon, JVC, Panasonic, and Sony camcorders, as well as DSLR cameras (Canon, Nikon, Sony). The kit includes lens adapters for 72 mm, 77 mm, and 82 mm front diameters, a top flag, and rods. The design and materials match the quality level of comparable ARRI and Chrosziel products. The matte box hood is made of high-quality aluminum, and the mounting and structural elements are made of steel. The surface is coated with a special sprayed paint for light absorption. Genus includes two 4×4 filter stages with filter frames (black and blue). One stage rotates 360°, the other is fixed. The base design includes a 105 mm clip-on ring, and with the included insert rings the matte box can be mounted to a lens. A 15 mm LWS rod mount is included. A top flag blocks stray light.
