GoPro Hero 12 Black Edition with the GP2 processor supports 5.3K 30p and 4K 120p video recording and 27.13 MP photo capture. The camera features HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization and 360° horizon lock. In video mode, you can select digital lenses with focal length equivalents from 16 to 39 mm: HyperView and SuperView (16), Wide (16–34 mm), Linear with Horizon Lock/Leveling (19–33), Linear (19–39).
Maximum video resolution is 5.3K 8:7 (5312×4648) 30p. In 4K, the maximum frame rate is 120 fps; in 2.7K and Full HD, up to 240 fps. Live streams are published in 1080p. Frame grabs up to 24.69 MP are available from 5.3K (8:7) video. Three microphones with wind noise reduction provide high-clarity audio. HindSight can record video up to 30 seconds before recording starts.
GP-Log recording with LUTs and 10-bit color are supported. The Quik app enables timecode.
