GoPro Hero 13 Black supports 10-bit HLG HDR and provides video recording options: 5.3K 8:7 (5312×4648) 30 fps, 5.3K 16:9 (5312×2988) 60 fps, 4K 16:9 (3840×2160) 120 fps, 2.7K 16:9 (2704×1520) 240 fps, plus 27.13 MP photo capture. In Burst Slo-Mo mode, it can create a 15-second clip at 400 fps in 720p. Frame grabs up to 24.69 MP are available from 5.3K (8:7) video. In video mode, you can select digital lenses with focal length equivalents from 16 to 39 mm: HyperView and SuperView (16), Wide (16–34 mm), Linear with Horizon Lock/Leveling (19–33), Linear (19–39). The camera features HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization and 360° horizon lock. HindSight can record video up to 30 seconds before recording starts. Live streams are published in 1080p.
Starting with Hero 13, the camera uses new 1900 mAh Enduro batteries and does not support batteries from previous versions. The lineup of additional accessories has been updated. Three microphones with wind noise reduction provide high-clarity audio. The Quik app enables timecode. Additional features include voice control, Bluetooth headphone and microphone support, a quick night effects menu, and scheduled capture. The camera body is waterproof to 10 m.
