K&F Concept Nano-X Variable ND2–32 CPL MRC (72 mm) combines neutral density and polarizing filter properties: it boosts color saturation, reduces glare and reflections from various surfaces, and reduces the amount of light entering the lens. Both density and polarization strength can be adjusted depending on the task. The manufacturer states that the “X” cross effect (X-pattern) common with variable ND filters on wide-angle lenses is eliminated. Useful in bright sun, allowing wide-open aperture shooting and longer shutter speeds to create motion effects, for example the “milky water” look. Nano-X coating is designed to reduce the impact of external contamination on the glass, such as splashes or fingerprints.
