Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25mm f/1.4 ASPH — a fast, compact Micro Four Thirds lens with a moderately wide angle of view, equivalent to a classic 50 mm lens on full-frame cameras. Suitable for a wide range of subjects and can be used as an everyday main lens.
Co-developed with Leica, it meets high image-quality standards: high contrast, accurate color, and minimal distortion and chromatic aberration. This is supported by an optical design with two aspherical elements and a front UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens element. Nano Surface coating reduces flare and ghosting more effectively than conventional multi-coating and helps maintain contrast.
A rounded 7-blade aperture provides smooth background blur. Maximum aperture is f/1.4. Minimum focusing distance is 25 cm. The lens offers a natural field of view and suits many photographic compositions.
The lens is just over 50 mm long and weighs 200 g. Filter thread: 46 mm. It delivers high image quality for both close-up work and landscapes.
