Fast Sigma AF 28–45mm f/1.8 DG DN Art zoom lens (Art series) designed for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. Suitable for photo and video work across many genres, including portraits, macro photography, reportage, events, and medium/wide/close shots. The f/1.8 maximum aperture remains constant throughout the zoom range, enabling shooting in difficult lighting and creating expressive bokeh with background blur outside the focus area. Minimum focusing distance is 30 cm. Special attention was given to reducing axial shift and focus breathing, minimizing image shift when changing focal length.
The optical design uses three aspherical elements and five low-dispersion glass elements, helping minimize chromatic aberrations and deliver high resolution across the entire frame. Sigma’s special lens coatings reduce flare and help prevent ghosting and stray reflections. Lens length remains fixed during focusing or zooming, which is useful when working with electronic stabilization by reducing balancing issues.
