SlideKamera HKN-2 motor drive is designed for smooth movement of a slider carriage on SlideKamera HSK series sliders during video shooting. The stepper motor is connected to a controller that drives the carriage. The controller provides multiple programs (VIDEO, ANIMATION, TIMELAPS) and can also control the camera shutter when connected via dedicated cables. The HKN-2 moves camera payloads up to 10 kg for horizontal moves and up to 2 kg for vertical moves. In VIDEO mode, movement can be controlled during motion and recorded for playback. In ANIMATION mode, carriage movement can be programmed with synchronized shutter control. In TIMELAPS mode, the carriage performs slow moves from start to end while synchronizing captures. Maximum carriage speed in VIDEO mode is 200 mm/s; minimum in TIMELAPS is 100 mm over 99 hours. Note: stated load ratings apply to the drive only; when using a head, also consider the head load capacity. The rental kit includes only an AC power adapter (mains power only). For autonomous operation, rent the SlideKamera AF-7 power kit. Operating temperatures for the motor (excluding battery kit) are -10°C to +70°C. Cable list for camera connection is available in the instructions; only the HKN-WS1 cable is included. Initial assembly and setup may take up to 30 minutes, especially for first-time users.
