Sony FX30 Cinema Line E-mount camera features an APS-C sensor and records 4K UHD (3840×2160) up to 120 fps. 4K is created via oversampling from 6K for improved detail. With an external HDMI recorder, 16-bit RAW recording is available up to 4672×2628 at up to 60 fps. The camera provides more than 14 stops of dynamic range. Dual base ISO (800 and 2500) maintains similar noise levels between bases, improving low-light performance. Fast hybrid AF supports accurate focus at shallow depth of field and 4K 120 fps, with tracking to keep subjects in focus.
FX30 records internal 4K in 10-bit 4:2:2 using Long GOP and All-Intra. For post-production, 16-bit RAW can be output via HDMI to external recorders using XAVC HS 4K, XAVC S 4K, or XAVC S-I 4K.
S-Log3 and S-Gamut3.Cine support wide dynamic range and easier matching with other Cinema Line cameras. S-Cinetone color, developed for the FX9, is also used in FX3 and FX30 for rich color and natural skin tones.
The camera includes built-in 5-axis image stabilization. The 7.5 cm side-opening touchscreen LCD supports flexible positioning and improved visibility on gimbals.
