Sony PXW-Z280 handheld camcorder with a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor is designed for broadcast 4K acquisition. Red, green, and blue are captured by separate sensors for wide dynamic range, high resolution, and strong sensitivity. High-level integration (intelligent noise reduction and improved detail processing) produces realistic 4K images with 4:2:2 sampling and 10-bit depth. The camera includes a 17× zoom lens with a 30.3–515 mm range. HDR workflows are supported via S-Log3 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). Face detection autofocus is included. Wi-Fi connectivity is supported at both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz for wireless transfer workflows.
