Sony SEL 28mm f/2.0 is designed for full-frame cameras and can be expanded with optional wide-angle converters (selected separately) to make it even more versatile. Its compact, lightweight design is well suited for Sony α7-series cameras; weight is only 200 g.
Optical design includes 3 aspherical elements (including one AA element) and 2 ED elements to reduce distortion and aberrations. The f/2.0 maximum aperture supports low-light shooting. Multi-layer coatings reduce flare and ghosting for high clarity and contrast. A 9-blade circular diaphragm creates soft bokeh.
Two optional converters (selected separately), ultra-wide and fisheye, expand the effective focal length to 21 mm and 16 mm respectively without reducing optical performance. Sensors in the converters and lens ensure correct EXIF data.
