The constant f/2.8 aperture across the focal range supports low-light shooting and enables creative images with expressive bokeh and background blur outside the focus area. The optical design includes 12 elements, including aspherical and low-dispersion glass elements, which together minimize chromatic aberrations and increase resolution across the frame. BBAR-G2 lens coating suppresses halos and flare and improves contrast and color reproduction. The VXD motor delivers fast and quiet autofocus.
