Zoom H1n portable audio recorder is equipped with two X/Y condenser microphones, a sensitivity control wheel, and a 1.25-inch monochrome LCD display. The directional X/Y microphones allow focused sound capture directly from the subject. All controls are externally accessible and intuitive to use. The recorder handles distortion effectively with a maximum SPL of 120 dB and supports overdubbing for layering audio tracks. When connected to a camera via the phone/line output, audio levels can be synchronized between devices. The recorder uses microSD memory cards and is supplied with an 8 GB card, supporting cards up to 32 GB, enabling up to approximately 50 hours of WAV recording or up to 555 hours in MP3 format.
